Can not see a particular sub folder under public

Hi,
We use exchange 2003 with outlook 2003 client
When I use outlook 2003 client, I can see all public folders except 1 sub
folder,
when I login thru OWA, I can see that folder also.

I made sure all the permission are there, and besides I have all
administrative rights in exchnage and AD

Any idea?

Thanks

Public Folders will read the LOGGED in account for permissions.
Are you logged into the machine with the same entity as the account
that is the owner?

example: My Active directory account called AdminNikki is owner
of all my public folders. But if I log into my machine as
NikkiTest, then open Outlook using my AdminNikki, I will
see only the permissions that NikkiTest have, even though
I am logging into my Outlook profile as AdminNikki.

If I log into the machine using my AdminNikki, then open
my AdminNikki exchange mail, then I will see all of my
Public Folders and I will be owner.

I logged in to the machine which has permission to all public folders
regardless whose folder it is.
I made myself as the owner of that particular folder, still don't see it any
other folder structure within the same folder level, can see them all

As said, when I login to OWA, using same login info, I can see that folder
no problem

A couple of possibilities:

- Are you on the server that the public folder is replicated to?
By this I mean, if you have public folder(s) in multiple, make
sure that they are replicating to each other.

- Have you tried using PFDavAdmin to check all the perms?

When you said the machine has permissions, it is the AD
account that you are logged into the machine with that are being
used. Are you logging in with the same AD account that
you are opening Outlook with that has the permissions as an
owner of the PF?

Look for the tool called PFDavAdmin.exe (Google It). Use this to
check your permissions on the public folders. I use this tool frequently
to troubleshoot permission problems in Public Folders.

And lastly, you may find more concise information by asking
this in the Exchange Admin community. There is very little that
those guys can't help you with.

- We use singe exchange server with 1 domain, so only one public folder
- First I used Exchange System manager to add and took ownership of the
folder, later when that didn't help
used PFDaveAdmin tool to reset ownership permission again
- I am talking about login account to domain, not machine.
So, yes, I am using same account when I am administering exchange and
PFDaveadmin

The problem seem to be where NT Authority has NONE
Everyone group has NONE permission on that folder
so, having explicit ownership rights doesn't matter on that folder when
everyone has NONE
however, still don't understand why some users can see it though

Something not right on that folder, I tried to reset inherited permission
from parent, but could not see option to reset inherited rights
