And what to orangehome's help pages say?

They say it could be;
Firewall, Norton, Settings wrong all checked.
Only thing I have not done is check if there is a corrupt dbx file! Orange
only give instructions for outlook 2003!

Well, since Outlook doesn't use DBX files, there's no danger of that. When
you can't send, it's usually a case of not properly authenticating to the
outgoing server. What are the exact symptoms? Do messages stay in the
Outbox? Do you get any error dialogues? What does the diagnostic log say?

Yes messages are stuck in the Out box.
I get error code 0x800cccof and it says what you suggested "not finding
server".
I looked up the error code and tried to rectify according to instructions!

Again, that's usually caused by not authenticating to the outgoing server.
What settings do you have for that?

Do you mean the smtp ? If yes; I have smtp.orangehome.co.uk
& pop.orangehome.co.uk

You didn't answer the question. What are the authentication settings for
the outgoing server?

P

There are no authentication settings. The only thing marked is:
Is use same settings as my incoming mail server?

Yes i did see that article, but had not read it properly! Did not put the @fs
in at the end. I am freeserve ( thought we had cracked it ) but now it is
going on about my network password ? This is a new box that has appeared.
