can not send or recieve e-mail error

When I click the send/receive button the following occurs:

Window pop-up saying "Enter Network Password" but it will not accept my
password.
So I click cancel.
the outlook send/recieve progress window says after processing:
Error
Task pop.mail.yohoo.com- Sending reported error 0x800CCC7D. Your outgoing
SMTP server does not support SSL-secured connections.

It also reported:
Task pop.mail.yahoo.com-sending reported error 0x80004005: The operation
failed." Your outgoing SMTP server does not support SSL-secured connections.

So I Cancelled the Task.

Finally, during the receiving process it stated:

Task pop.mail.yahoo.com receiving reported error 0x800CCC92 your e-mail
server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your
account properties.
