Plkease tell us what versions you are running - Office, and exchange.

Also, can you connect to the exchange server through OWA (Outlook Web
Access) with a web browser?

Hi Philip!

If your company hosts its own Exchange Server then follow the
instructions here on The Entourage Home Page
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeatwork.html>.

If you're company is using an Exchange Server hosted outside its network
then follow the instructions here
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeathome.html>.

Hope this helps! bill

HI William,

I have done this a few times but always end up with thw same error
message "bad user name or pasword"

I am definitely using the correct username and password.

Any other thoughts

Hi William,

The actual mesage that I am getting is:

The server account "Phil Exchage" returned the error "Logon Failure:
unknown user name or bad password" Your username / password or
securit settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering
your password.

Please let me know your thoughts when you get a second

Hi Philip!

All addresses being correct, your next issues could be with SSL and your
password.

Internal servers may or may not require SSL be enabled. You may need to
experiment with this setting for your Exchange Server address. External
servers will almost all require SSL.

Your password may not be complex enough to meet the server's
requirements. While this may be overkill I suggest you change your
password to something completely different and that it contain 1.) at
least one upper case letter, 2.) at least one lower case letter, 3.) at
least one number, 4.) at least eight characters.

Also, if you're storing your name and password in your Keychain then it
may need to be repaired. Open the Keychain Access utility found in
/Applications/Utilities and run the Keychain First Aid feature under the
Keychain Access menu.

Hope this helps! bill
