Can Office 2000 & 2003 Co-Exist?

I've just received Office 2003 Professional (not an upgrade) and before I
begin the install I'm curious as to what is the best method of "upgrading".
Do I leave Office 2000 or do I need to uninstall it first. As far as I'm
concerned, I have no need to keep 2000 on the computer. Will 2003 remove or
overwrite 2000, or will it put it in a separate directory?

Thanks,

David...

You'll be given the option to remove 2000 at install time; to install
Outlook2003, you must remove Outlook 2000.

If there are settings you want to keep, definitely upgrade. If not,
uninstall and install is fine.
