Can office 2000 be made to operate on VISTA?

I bought a new computer with VISTA. I have office 2000 from my old computer
that I'd like to install on the new one.

Any problems, and/or fixes?

Uninstall any trial version of Office together with Activation assistant
first, then reboot

Use custom install of office, to install to ....\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\office2k
Then run Office Update, or MS Update, do NOT install any drivers, in fact
ammend your update settings to critical updates only
