Can Office 2000 run on Windows Xp

I just got a new machine that has Windows Xp on it. I
would like to run Office 2000 on it. Does anyone know if
Office 2000 runs with XP? Do I need a patch or update to
successfully run it? When I tried to install it, it asked
me to install XP SP1 which is already installed on the
machine. I hope someone can help.

That's odd! I managed to install Office 2000 Professional
in my Windows XP computer without any problems.
