Can Office 97 run on Windows XP Pro?

Hi,
In the process of updating a computer to Windows XP
Professional Operating System and curious to know if Office
97 programs will run on the new OS. What are the system
requirements for Office 97? I looked on the Microsoft
website and didn't find any useful information. Is it
necessary to upgrade to Office XP Standard? Thanks, Gina
