Can Office2000 be loaded on a new XP system?

[my first upgrade]

I just purchased a new computer that has Windows XP. I was wondering if I
can load my Office2000 onto this computer or if there will be errors because
the CD has marked that it is designed for Windows98 and NT?

I am hoping I can load this version since I already have the software, and
not have to purchase the Office2003 bundle.

If that copy of Office came with a previous computer, then the answer is no.

Office 2000 will work under XP.

I purchased Office2000 separate from my first computer. I got it while in
college with a nice student discount price, which is why I'd like to keep
using the CDs.
