Greetings all,
I was in one website, saved a new document, and closed all programs.
I installed OfficeXP Professional (special offer - no FP upgrade to my
FP2000), and I had numerous problems starting up FP2000. FP, at startup
said it was in the install mode and I had to insert my FP2000 disk. That
done, it did "something" and allowed me to access the web site I needed to
edit. I opened a file, went to "save as" and as soon as the existing htm
files listed on the screen, FP disappeared. This does not happen with other
sites I webmaster through the same apache-linux server with me using FP.
I tried FP's "repair" option, I removed/reinstalled it, and spent over two
hours installing patches from Microsoft that Microsoft said I needed.
Funny, Microsoft's update never said I needed all this stuff before.
After all this, FP2000 still dies at listing files under the "save as"
option. One second it is there, and "blip" it is gone.
Does anybody know why this is happening at only one website when it doesn't
happen at four others?
