Can OL97 be configured to check my email without being loaded?

Hi,

Can OL97 be configured to check my email without having OL97 loaded?
I guess I mean is there some small TSR that would be left in the tray
that would let me know If I've got mail so I don't have to leave OL97
open all the time?
