Can 'old' projects be hidden?

I know I can set up an Ent. Proj. Outline Code to 'show' or 'hide' projects
from project center views which helps keep PWA views shorter.

Is there a way to do it in Project Professional? When a Portfolio Mgr
clicks 'file' then 'open', the project list is starting to get unwieldy.
It'd be nice to hide projects here to.

That is...I want to keep them available on the project database for
reporting purposes, but hide them so that PM's see the most current stuff
without having to scroll through 'old' projects.
