Can OneNote Play Auio recorded in Word '04?

Can OneNote play audio notes recorded in word '04 (mac version)? I have
lecture notes w/audio that were recorded on a mac using Word and is in the
form of a .doc file . I can't seem to get it to play in Word or OneNote '07
for WIN OS. Is this possible? Or, if anyone can tell me how to extract the
audio w/out having a mac will be of some help too.
