can only print first page

maggie

hello,

I am not sure what's wrong. I am trying to print a mail merge document. I
can only print the first page, even though I ask for ranges. I don't get any
error message. I can go through each page and see that data, but I can't
preview it all or print it all. Can somebody help?

thanks

Hi Maggie -

It would be helpful to know what version of Word & OS X you're using, so if
this isn't on track be certain to include that information when you reply.
Also include a more specific description of the problem.

It sounds like you're using the regular Print command (File> Print,
Command+P, etc). If so, you're going in the wrong direction:) You're
actually attempting to print just the main label document which is only one
page long & is displaying the data content for preview purposes only based
on step 5 of the Data Merge Manager, you haven't completed the merge. You
need to go on to step #6...

In that step (Complete the Merge) you'll find a Merge to Printer button as
well as a Merge to New Document button. If you use the latter it creates
another document consisting of as many copies of your main document as
needed to accommodate as many records as you have in the record source. You
can then print that or you can bypass the document by using the other button
& sending the data directly to the printer.

You do know that the preview will SHOW only one page of data?

If you want it to continue, you have to hit the Go button.

Cheers
