Can Outlook 2003 trigger notifications/reminders on add'l mailbox

I have a couple of additional mailboxes open when I log in to my primary
mailbox in Outlook 2003. All mailboxes are on Exchange 2003. Is there a way
to get notifications (new mail arrival) and reminders for items in the
additional mailboxes?

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to install 3rd party add-ins due to
restrictions against shareware/freeware in our network environment.

Are you saying that Outlook 2003 simply doesn't have this capability? Is it
something that can be solved via Office's VBA without too much headache?

That is correct -- Outlook cannot do this on its own. You will need to
repost your question in one of the Outlook programming newsgroups to see if
someone can give you a VBA solution.
