Can Outlook be configured to pull and show data from a database while in
Contact Mode. To be specific, I work in an office where we use Outlook to
schedule patients. The doctor wants to be able to see the patients medical
records stored in a seperate database when he opens either the appointment or
the contact file. Can this be done using Sharepoint? Is there some sort of
plug-in that we can use? Do we need to have a seperate custom program
written? The database we are using to store the medical infomation is a
custom written program.

you'll need to use a custom application that pulls the data in and displays
it in a custom form.
