Can PPT be set to expire?

Can a powerpoint presentation be set to expire on a certain date? I would
like to distribute a PowerPoint that "dies" after a certain length of time.

Mama Kat,
Well sort of. Only through VBA and this is only tested for Slide Show
View.

Here's some sample VBA code that should be assigned to a full frame
no-fill AutoShape.

Option Explicit

'Developed by Brian Reilly, MVP
Public expireDate As Date

Sub expire()
expireDate = 8 - 31 - 2007
If expireDate < Now Then
Application.Quit
End If
End Sub

Assign the slideshow Action setting to the mouseclick Action setting.
Change the date as you see fit.

Not perfect. But should get you started or stopped.

Hi Mama,

There are a few ways to do this.

1) Using VBA as Brian suggested, but if the user does not have VBA enabled,
then the show will not end as desired.

2) Using the DRM options that will enable use until a given date. This also
requires additions or it will not run.

3) Using an extra program called Secure Pack.
