Scenario: Proj 2002 Enterprise is currently operational. I'm testing the
Proj 2003 Enterprise environment separately before migrating the live data.
Question: Can I have a Proj 2002 client and a Proj 2003 client installed on
the same machine in a safe way.
Reason for the question: I thought I would be able to get away with just the
Proj 2003 client to administer both databases. I even upgraded the 2002
database with the MS provided script to enable this. However, the first time
I tried to add an Enterprise resource, an error message occured telling me I
had to check the name or the Windows account (although the error message
wasn't in the usual red and there was nothing wrong with the resource
details??). I got around this problem by logging on to another Project
Managers box and using their 2002 client.
Related question: Would there be a setting in the Project Pro 2003 client or
2002 database that I am missing or is this a known problem?
With thanks in advance for any help or guidance.
