Can receive but can't send

Running Windows and Office XP on two networked computers connected to ADSL. Primary computer sends and receives e-mail fine. Second computer, accessing ADSL through the LAN, can receive e-mail (Freeserve account) but can't send. Error message '550 Administrative Prohibition' comes back immediately when sending a mail. Checked account settings etc. All seems to be OK. Is it something I need to set on the computer that directly connects to the ADSL? Internet Explorer works fine on both computers.

Both machines are hooked to the same switch/hub -> Router -> Modem?

Hi Hal

Primary PC connected to ADSL via PCI Modem (Zoom). Second PC connected via a Netgear 8-port hub to primary PC

Thank
