task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x80042109): 'Outlook cannot
connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive
this message, contact your server administrator or Internet Service provider
(ISP).'

I keep receiving the above message, going on two weeks. I am located on
campus, using the school network. This past Thursday, I was able to send for
10 minutes from my home network, but then started receiving the same issue.
I am using a Fujitsu T5010 with Windows XP Tablet. The program is Microsoft
Office Outlook 2007. I am able to send from my hotmail account using Outlook.

Thanks

There are a number of issues with using SMTP message submission, and your
lack of details makes it difficult to pinpoint which one might be in play.

You are located on campus, using the school network; but, if your email
account is not provided by the school, and you are trying to reach the
message submission server for your account, your school network may be
blocking access over port 25, or your provider, if it is an ISP email
service, may be blocking access because your IP address is not on their IP
network. Knowing what your email domain is ('(e-mail address removed)'; use your
actual email domain instead of 'example.com', but use those dots in place of
your user name), and knowing which SMTP message submission server you are
trying to use could help us determine a solution.
