Can resource managers approve task updates before project manager?

Is there a way for resource managers to approve task updates for their
resources prior to the project manager accepting them and incorporating them
into the project schedules? I am the only person updating projects in our
organization and I am looking for a way to allow the resource managers to
review the changes before I incorporate them. If an approval process is not
available, a report would suffice....preferably something I could configure
for them.

I could not really understand waht u want to do. How can u approve an
aUpdate, if there is no Update.. If the Process id for u boring, u can define
rules to approve updates automatic.

It is not that the process is boring.....I want an easy way to summarize the
updates for the resource manager each week. Once I receive the updates, I
can view and print the task changes submitted before I accept them. I would
like for the resource managers to have access to the same information.
Currently, they can view resource assignments, but they see all tasks
assigned, not just the tasks that have been updated that week.

The RM can approve timesheets regardless of whether the PM has approved them.
The downside is that the PM is in more of a position to approve a timesheet
based upon the work that the PM agrees has been done, therefore if the RM
approves first then the RM will not know whether the PM agrees (i.e. PM
Accept? = Accepted".
