So here is the skinny....
Our organization currently uses Project Server as a task tracking tool
to make sure deliverables don't fall through the cracks. Many of
these tasks contain deliverables such as 'schedule and confirm
delivery date with supplier xxx'. Projects are strictly managed by
the start and finish dates of tasks with task status being strictly
binary - that is a task is either 0 or 100% complete (in progress
being 0%, with the task being complete only when the user marks it as
100%)
My questions are:
1) Given how we track project status, is it possible for resources to
change the task finish date in PWA?
2) How would we incorporate an additional time/date field for those
tasks which require 3rd party scheduling? For example - Taskname
would be 'schedule and confirm delivery date for brochure Y' with a
start date of 10/5 and a finish date of 10/15. Once the user marks
this task 100% complete, they would need to add the actual scheduled
delivery date of the brochure (such as 11/1).
