Can send mail from OEx but not Outlook

I can send emails via Outlook Express but not Outlook. As far as I can see
the account setup is the same between the two programs. I get a system admin
undeliverable

Outlook is also gives the error -:

Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on 1and1.' reported error
(0x8004DF0B) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null) from the IMAP
e-mail server for account 1and1. Error: The connection to the server is
unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator
or Internet service provider (ISP).'

My ISP is being slow to respond. Any ideas where to start looking?

Do you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook? Disable the
integration (see the documentation of the virus scanner on how to do this
properly) and try again. Also check your firewall settings. It might be
blocking Outlook but not OE.

Use McAfee v8. I don't know how it "integrates" with OEx or Outlook. OE just
worked... I will ask McAfee. Any ideas?

Also check your firewall settings. It might be
blocking Outlook but not OE.

Using XP Pro SP2. The installation is default. I believe that a FW is
operating but I don't know how it's set up, so don't know how to
differentiate between OE and Outlook settings. Any pionters?

Found an item on the McAfee Virus Scan v8 (Boxed) forum about Outlook not
sending emails.

It suggested disabling the worm stopper. Did this, and emails now send OK.
