Can Shrink/Can Grow

I have a report that is pre made to fit exactly one page.
In the middle of my report is where the information is. I made them all can
shrink and can grow. But what I am trying to do is just move the information
up if the line above it is blank. I want to still keep the design of my
form. So I have a total of 15 rows. If only 5 of those rows contain
information then I want 10 lines below to be blank, then I have the rest of
my design below. Right now everything is comming up. I want the desing to
stay the same just the info to move up. Can this be done?

try setting the CanShrink property of the Detail section to No. then move
the detail data into a subreport, and put the subreport in the Detail
section of the main report. size the subreport control (within the main
report) to the size you want, and make sure that its' CanShrink property is
also set to No.

So I did that. Now I can not see my subreport. What do I have set wrong. I
have everything visable. When I open the individually they look great but
when I put the one report I cant see the subreport. Any suggestions

did you link the subreport to the main report using the LinkMasterFields and
LinkChildFields properties of the subreport control (within the main
report)?

Okay so now I can see my table. I didn't pull it down so it could be seen.
Now my problem is I have my main report then my subreport in the middle, now
it seems I can see the information on the lower part of my report. On my
main report have have made some lines going vertical and horizatal. I can
see those but not the information inside.

Okay I don't know what i am doing wrong. I just had everything working
great. Then I moved the subreport and it is all back to how it was in the
beginning. I have the main report can grow/can shring both no. Also on the
subreport. The fields in the subreport I have can shrink. Then I tried
playing with the can grow. I said yes and no.
Please help me.

well, if you had it working correctly, what changes did you make? can you
reverse those changes?

I moved the whole subreport. Then when I moved it back it didn't work anymore.

I changed my field height. When it is smaller then it does not fit where I
want it. Now I have it where I want it but it does not shrink.

I got it to work I had to change the font size. Who would have thunk
that!!!!!!
