Can some smart soul help a newbie out?
I am using Word (XP) and having difficulty inserting a picture from a file
(bitmap) that expands to an entire 8 1/2" x 11" page.
My situtation is that I have a 1 page document (standard letter) with
standard margins (1.25" Left and Right, 1" Top and Bottom). The second page
is an an attached bitmap (a fax in .tif format). Right now to add the
second page I jump to the end of page 1, insert a page break, then Insert ->
Picture -> From File.
Problem is, the bitmap respects the margins from page 1. Since it's a
bitmap, it's margins are the same as the text on page 1, and I need to
select it, and manually resize it with each new document created. This is
tume consuming, since I'm working on dozens of documents at a time.
I'm sure there's an easy way to do this, but I've been unable to find it.
I've even tried a macro (for the first time), but my results were awful...
I also tried inserting a Text Wrapping Break after the page break, thinking
I could change the margins on page 2, insert the picture and it would
automatically fill the entire 8 1/2" x 11" page. This still changed the
margins on page 1.
I have toyed with the idea of creating a template that had 0 margins, but
this needs to be a two page document so I can print it to my fax software.
Can anyone help or give me suggestions or shed some light or pray that I
don't bang my head against the wall for too long? I'd be willing to
use a macro or whatever it takes... and since this is the only thing I'm
using the Insert-> Picture tool for it needs to be the permanet default.
I'd really appreciate any feedback - thank you in advance!
