Can text color follow paste special?

I have two worksheets linked by paste special and the source
information is colored text.

The text follows the link fine, but the color is lost. How do I make
that color follow the link?

The easiest way is to apply the same CF to the cell in the sheet with
the link.

The other way is to use a Calculation event macro.

Or, if I understand correctly, when you copy the source data and
paste-Special-Values in to the destination location, if you then immediately
Paste-Special_Formats, the destination text will be appropriately colored.

Yup - I forgot that paste-special-formats would copy the CF as well.
Much better.
