Can the bouncing icon in the dock be stopped?

Is there a way to stop the Entourage icon from bouncing in the doct
every time I receive mail? I get upwards of 150 messages a day and
the bouncing icon has become such an annoyance that I have been using
the Mail package that comes with Panther (and Jaguar before it). I
would prefer Entourage if I could disable the bouncing icon. I have
unchecked the "animate icon" box in preferences for icoming mail
notification, but that doesn't do the trick. Can anyone offer a
solution?

Dock Detox works in Jaguar, but the Panther version has not been released.

It's freeware.

Adding to what Diane wrote:

I don't have a problem with a bouncing icon in Panther. I'll get one if
Entourage tries to check an account and encounters a problem retrieving my
mail, but just receiving mail, my icon never bounces. It just plays the
sound, and I see the new mail symbol in the dock icon. Is your bouncing
different than this?

You can check to see if it is a problem downloading your mail by clicking on
the little exclamation point in the yellow triangle in the lower right
corner of the Entourage window. That will bring up the error message
console. If there is no little yellow triangle, then you don't have any
error messages.
