Can the folder 'MSSQL7' be removed?

I used to have Office2003 on my PC and have now uinstalled it and replaced
it with Office2007. I notice there is a directory/folder on my C: drive
called MSSQL7 and it seems to be occupying a lot of space.

Could I delete this folder and its contents without imparing my use of
Office?

This would appear to be the installation folder for SQL Server - nothing to
do with Office AFAIK.
Have you installed SQL Server?

I suggest rename it to something like:

MSSQL7_old

Wait for about two weeks and if no adverse effects, you can get rid of it.

If you are using Outlook Business Contacts Manager then you will need Sql Server express edition. I had it but I removed it because I prefer to use Mozzilla and/or Outlook Express. All those calendar business is not my cup of tea.
