Can Visio generate a report from a certain template

There is some tools to connect word with external tools (like visio) intended
for modeling. That way, you can make a report with a defined structure, and
decide where tu put a diagram, or where to put the descripction of a diagram,
etc.

¿There is any way to do this with Visio?

Visio has a little bit of reporting but you cannot compare it Crystal Reports.
Some of the latest messages on this forum concern that reporting.

In Visio 2007 something called "Data Graphics" comes close to what you ask.
And because there is the Shapesheet, what you ask can be achieved.

Thanks Philippe, but "Data Graphics" with Shapesheet it's not what i mean.
I'm looking for something like SODA for Word with Rational Rose. With SODA
you can define an entire report. Set all the structure, titles, sections,
diagrams. Then, when you are ready, point that report to a certain file in
Rational, and that's it: SODA will complete de report, even iterating when
more than one diagram it's found, until all the information in the model it's
in the report.

So far, i had not found anything similar with Visio.

You could try using Visio reports to output to XML and then transforming
with XSL to create a formatted report
