Can we open PPRO application without "Project1" ?

When every PPRO user opens its PPRO 2007 application (Microsoft
Project Professional) an empty project "Project 1" is automatically
generated.
Can we open PPRO without this empty "Project1" ?
- To simplify and secure PPRO closure process (only known projects
have to be closed)
- To avoid saving issues and potential 'locked out' projects
- To guide users to work with standard and customized Projects
Templates
Thanks for your help

Either train people to use Ctrl+F4 to quickly close the unwanted project, or
use a VBA macro to automatically close Project1.

You can also check the option in "tools, options, general tab" to open
the last file on start up. This is good if people use the same
schedule all the time.
