Can we write formulas in MS word

Hi,

I just wanted to know if we can write formulas ( like, SUM, IF etc...)in Ms
Word like we do in Excel.
If we can write, then how can we write?

You can add some simple formulas in Word tables. With the insertion point
inside a table cell, use the Formula command (Table | Formula in Word
97-2003; Table Tools Layout tab | Formula in Word 2007).
