Can you access a free windows live hotmail account in entourage?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

am thinking about getting Microsoft office 2008 for mac. i was wondering, can you access your free windows live hotmail account in entourage in office 2008 or do you need hotmail plus? i have looked at other question but some say that you can and others say that they have problems with it or can't. it would be great if someone can confirm that you can use your free windows live hotmail account with entourage.

According to MS's web site:
Windows Live Hotmail accounts, including free accounts, can now be set up in
Entourage as POP accounts.
