can you attach two words to a connector in visio?

I am building a network diagram and want to display the port numbers for the
two devices being connected on each end of my connector line. I am entering
the port numbers in two seperate fields in the connector's "custom
properties" table and just want those two fields displayed at both ends of
the connectors (insert -> field only allows one field to be added).

Chris Roth did an awsome example in David Edsons book (wiring diagram)
Professional Development with Visio 2000. There's a cdrom with the book that
has other nice stuff.
