Can you back up history logs for Business Contact Manager's record

I am using the Business Contact Manager that comes with Office 2003 Small
Business Edition and I am trying to find a way to back up my records together
with their history logs. I find it difficult to believe that the programme
does not allow you to do that as it means that all the work one puts into
building a record's history could be lost without having been backed up.
Have you come across this problem and maybe found a solution?

In BCM V1, it allows Export of BCM entities only, not the history, so
if I understood your question correctly, you need to do a backup, which
will keep all your BCM data safe.

In BCM V2, just released, you can export the history too, so you could
avoid using backup.

But I am curious, why do you need this functionality? Remember that in
your history contains many different items, like link to mail, files,
etc.
