Can you change a file extension from .ldb to .mdb?

Someone sent me the wrong file, they sent me the .ldb file instead of the
..mdb. Is there a way to change the .ldb file into a .mdb file?

Well you "could" but what is inside an LDB file is not anything that you
would care about so it would be pointless.

An LDB is the locking file that Access uses to control locking of data pages
when multiple users are in an MDB file. There is nothing in there that is
likely to be of any usefulness to you.
