Can you change a Word doc background from white to color??

Is it possible to change the standard white background on
a Word document to a color? I have been able to change
the font color and work the highlight feature, but I have
vision trouble and the glare of the white page causes me
problems.
Many thanks.

G'day "A.J." <[email protected]>,

What I do is use the desktop settings to dull down the app window
color of white to a 5% gray.

Do you know about Word's blue background, white text feature? Many
people find it easier on the eyes. Go to Tools, Options, General tab,
and check the item that says Blue background, white text.

Also, if you want an easy way to toggle between the white and blue
background, you could install this macro and assign a keystroke to it:

Sub BlueScreenToggle()
Options.BlueScreen = Not (Options.BlueScreen)
End Sub
