Can you change the case of categories/values in a graph?

I'm making a line graph in PPT 2003 and the bottom horizontal axis is
dates (month and year). I want them all to look like this.... NOV 00.
DEC 00, etc. etc. etc.

The charting tool's default with Month/Year is Nov-00. Is it possible
for me to change the case of the month and get rid of that dash so it
says NOV 00 instead? Doesn't seem to be any options in the "Number"
options. "Custom" doesn't give me that option. Even if I manually key
them in as NOV 00 into the datasheet, PPT changes is to Nov-00.

Any ideas from you smart folks? thanks...

I believe you should be able to just create a new custom number type by
typing MMM YY.

I can't get to PPT 2003 right now (long story), but in 2007, select the
cells in the datasheet and choose Format Cells. On the Number tab, choose
Custom, and where it says "type" type in MMM YY. It should work similarly in
2003.

Also, if you type Number Format into Excel's Help, you'll get information on
"create a custom number format." Good stuff, that.

Ah, but I just realized you want the months in all caps. I'm sure there's a
way to do that, but I'm not sure what it is! Hopefully one of the Excel MVPs
will be along shortly to help. :)
