Can you change the open Window

Hi,

I was asked a question by someone if they can add
anything else to the left side of the File Open Window
where you see History, My Documents ect or if what you
see is what you get?

What version of office are you using? That's the Places Bar. If you're using
Office XP, then, navigate to the location you want, and choose (using the
dialog box's own toolbar), Tools - Add to My Places. To rearrange the
furniture, right click an item, and choose Move Up, Move Down, Remove, etc.
You can't remove the built-in places, however, you can relegate the to the
bottom of the list so that place you add are more accessible.

Also, to see more icons in the places bar at one time, right-click and
choose Small Icons.

If you're using Word 2K, you can still modify the Places, but it's a bit
more involved. See here:

We are running both 2000 Pro and XP Pro. Think you for
the Name of the Bar and I will explain to the person how
to do this again thank you very much
