Tier 3 Questions

Not sure if they should be referred to as shortcuts or shorthand, but I want
to know if there is a way in the OS or with a 3rd party product to train your
own symbol. For example, I have not discovered a way to enter a symbol to
execute the copy or paste command. I haven't found a symbol to let me open a
favorite program.

Anything?

Search the online help for "Gestures".

There are some gestures that the Tablet PC natively supports, some that are
supported in different programs, and some third party support exists as well.
Look at the some of the OEM programs that might have come with your Tablet.

A search on gesture only brought up the generic description of "Tablet PC
Input Panel overview." On MS Knowledge Base there were more articles, with
one being very relavent. Article ID : 87821 looks like EXACTLY what I'm
looking for but could't tell how to get to the functionality being
described. Says that it applies to MS Windows for Pen Computing 1.0 an 1.0a.
I am assumung that these were earlier versions of Tablet PC or something
other than the TabletPC.

My Toshiba Portege M200 does come with about 15 symbols (as the application
is called) that can be used, was hoping there might be something a bit more
customizeable or a write-up on the OS-approved gestures.

Please continue to post your Tablet PC-related questions in the
microsoft.public.windows.tabletpc newsgroup. This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's OneNote program, which runs both on regular desktops and
laptops, as well as Tablet PCs, but not Tablet-specific questions. The
gestures which are unique to Tablet PCs can be seen here:
