Can you embed notes for an object in visio ?

Wondering if this is possible, I dont know how nor do any of my
co-workers.

Working on a network diagram in visio, and well I was wondering if
there was a way to embed a text file or something within a shape ?
For example, I have a network diagram with lots of Cisco routers, and
it would be nice to be able to some how paste the text into the visio
document for that particular router shape.

I guess my example or thought behind this is similiar to say an excel
cell, and your ability to embed extra notes and stuff for the cell
that is not viewable until the person clicks on and accesses the
notes.

Ahh well. any thoughts on this or ideas on what to do would be
helpful.

I use hyperlinks for some of that (including calling telnet directly and
copying the ipaddress from the custom properties). You can use them to point
at bookmarks in word docs, spreadsheets, or urls (if you have the data on an
a web page).
