Can you have sub resources in project?

I want to put test and development environments in as resources but sometimes
they'll be used as a whole and sometimes only part of them will be used.

Hi Elle,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

In Project you can assign a group of resources or individual resources. You
cannot assign a part of a group resource. Thus you will have to break down
the resources into their largest component sizes.
