Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, English.
Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition.

Is it possible to import names, etc., from "Windows contacts" to "MS Office
Word" to print envelopes?

With XP is was possible to import the names, etc., from outlook to word, to
address envelopes, etc.

In the "Microsoft Office 2007" mentioned above outlook is not included in
that edition. Outlook express has been replaced with "Windows Contacts"

now that's an interesting point you raise.

In OE, contacts were stored in a single database and OE could export them
the clipboard as such. In Windows Contacts, contacts are individual .contact
files and is processed by Windows Explorer...as such, I see no way of
importing that data to use on envelopes, etc...others can comment if know a
way.

Thanks for your reply, I had come to the same conclusion you mentioned.
I thought someone may find a way to import the addresses etc., to Word.
While "Windows contacts" in "MS Office 2007" may be great for "MS" I am not
pleased with some of the functions, ie., the question in my first message.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply. I believe "MS" could and should have designed
"Windows Contacts" with the same features that were in OE to import the
addresses to Word to address envelopes. Somewhat disappointed that I lost
that feature.

Thanks for your reply. "Outlook 2007" is not included with Microsoft
Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, English, Microsoft Office 2007 Home and
Student Edition.

"MS Office 2007" software was installed by the manufacturer. I may need to
purchase Outlook 2007 independently.
Thanks.

Seems to work here as it did in Outlook 2003. I'm using Word 2007 and
Outlook 2007 on Vista. See clip.

If you wish to purchase a retail copy of Outlook alone, I recommend using Amazon.com - they have excellent prices and free shipping.
