Can you put shortcuts on the Navigation Pane?

I've created a custom form for our office that's in a shared public folder.
Currently to get to it everyone has to click on the "Shortcuts" button on
their navigation pane and then on the shortcut to the item.

Question has come up: Is it possible to cut out the middle man and just put
the shortcut itself on the navigation pane at the bottom?
