Can you remove Word and Excel 2003 when you have Both in 2007 too

My sister's computer is short on space and we need to remove some programs
that aren't used. Can I remove Word and Excel 2003 without disturbing the
2007 duo? I removed 2003 from my own computer and it took 2007 with it so
I'm looking for a way around that if possible.

Actually, "best" would be to remove 2007, then remove 2003 and finally re-
install 2007... Otherwise you're just asking for problems, somewhere down the
line.

And please note that you asked this in a "programming" group. That's probably
the reason you haven't gotten any answer before now. The Office setup
newsgroup would be the better place to have a discussion about this.
