can you search for text that is marked as deleted text in a doc?

i have a document with track changes, some of which is struck through as
deleted. I need to search for a phrase, which may be marked as deleted text.
Can I do this? Thanks!

make sure you select the view where deletions are shown ("Original" or
"Original with markup"), then use search as usual.
