Can you share a business contact manager db without a server?

I'm trying to find you if you can remotely share a business contact manager
db without a server. Is there some way of allowing access to a BCM db over
the internet or by using some on-line service? I'm looking for a solution
for a customer who doesn't have a server yet, but I'd like them to start
using/sharing BCM. Even a solution that requires a re-sync periodically
would be a fine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes, you can do this easily. Setup a VPN in the office and a PC to act as
the BCM server. It doesn't have to have a server operating system,
especially if there are 5 or fewer users. The remote guys can logon to the
VPN, then use Create or Select a Database to Connect to that box and see the
list of databases available. They will get a wizard to go through the
connect process and should choose Create an Offline Database. That allows
them to work when they're not connected to the server.
