Can you turn off the clipboard feature in Power Point?

I have been trying to copy and paste clipart from a Publisher document into a
Power Point. When I click paste I get the clipboard icon. When I go to the
clipboard and click the clipart, paste, nothing happens. This is Power Point
2007.
