Can you update/refresh data between onenote and excel or word

I can paste in the document as a picture. Now if I change the excel sheet I
want it to update onenote or click on the link in onenote and update the
sheet and see the change in onenote - either way.

Can't do it. That would require OLE support which doesn't exist in OneNote.

You could create a link to the document in OneNote and then whenever you
clicked that link it would open the latest version of the document;
otherwise no OLE.

The Link being what appers above the picture you make of the document?!

If that is a true statemant, is the link searchable so when your looking for
something would you find it? for that matter is the data in the picture
searchable?

Thanks for the help - Howard

You could paste the link above the picture if you want. The text of the
link is searchable but what the link points to isn't.

In the next version the picture will be searchable, within certain
limitations.
