Can you use InfoPath to feed a Word boiler-plate document?

Is InforPath the correct tool? We do NOT currently use InfoPath and wonder
if it is worth starting.

Data gathering, in this case, is a series of specific business requirements.
Do you do this? Do you need to do that? How many employees (names),
customers, phone lines (numbers), etc.? Often, early data gathering reveals
the need to also gather whole new categories of information (different
InfoPath forms?), that then become required inputs.

When everything is collected, a (large) Word document(s) must be created.
Most of that document is "boiler-plate", with sections included based on the
data gathered in one or more InfoPath forms. Of course, all of the variable
portions of the boiler-plate should come from the forms. But also need to
include optional and unique paragraphs, sub-sections, sections - again, based
on data collected.

Maybe, a combination of InfoPath forms and Word documents (some portions
Excel or, even, Access) would be the correct way to organize this diverse
info. Is this a common way to use InfoPath?

Thanks in advance for any input you can offer,

I have the same question except specificaly for real estate contracts. Fill
in the blanks at the data gathering stage and it should populate the contract
in the right places and generate a word document. I wish you had gotten an
answer for my "me too" question.
