Can you use the Subtotal(func_num) and an IF formula at the same time

I have created a spreadsheet that can filter information for Earned
Value. I have created a table below the data to summarize different
areas of data below my working spreadsheet. I used an IF formula with
"code descriptions in a hidden column to capture all of my data. I am
having trouble trying to break out a MIN, MAX of dates from the
spreadsheet to the table below it. I was successful in creating a
Subtotal(MIN,a3,a20) formula in serving my autofilter but cannot
emulate the same results in the table below the data. I am trying to
combine a Subtotal formula with an If formula to make this work. Can
anyone help?

Spreadsheet Organization:
Data number number number date date number

Code Configuration:
1 2 3 4 5, etc

Table Below Organization:

want.

Can you supply some sample data and a sample result?
